Patience! I can’t stress this enough. Don’t take your frustration out on a puppy because you are impatient with yourself. Yelling at puppy will only increase puppy’s anxiety and your puppy may develop unnecessary fears within itself towards you. There is always the possibility you will create anxieties within puppy that weren’t there to start. I especially want to mention that grabbing, pulling on ears, and kicking should NEVER be in your “training” methods. Puppies are very impressionable- no different than a small child. They depend on us for their every need. We have to build a positive relationship where the puppy feels cared for, loved, and respected.
We want this for ourselves as humans so why should a puppy/dog be any different?
